How Private home tutors always stay motivated?

Teaching is such a noble profession and it’s not an easy job as well. There is so much to the teaching arena because the skills cannot be easily obtained and one has to learn how to manage students well. The challenges are more or less the same for school tutors and private home tutors (私人 上門 補習) but there are some slight differences that are unique to each of them.
Private-Home-Tutors

Children have this thing called “egocentrism” which is basically the lack of understanding that there is an existence of perspectives other than your own, which makes them very inquisitive in nature when you teach them something new. Children have self-esteem issues, they compare themselves with others and they choose to throw tantrums over things that seem trivial to us, as adults.
Not all students have the same learning capacity, strengths, and weaknesses; they are all different. This is probably what makes the profession challenging by nature because tutors need to be able to assess the student in all aspects of learning.
If you are thinking... Why should you hire a private tutor? Then you surely haven't read our previous blog. You must read this "Reasons of hiring private tutors for primary school students".

SO, WHAT KEEPS THEM GOING DESPITE THE CHALLENGES?

 ACADEMICS
Teachers in schools are always in a hurry to finish their syllabus within a pre-set deadline that the subject departments come up with, and some lull their students to sleep or some might even be dismissive of their students’ doubts or suggestions which makes them look unapproachable.

Having known this reality, tuition teachers make sure that they keep their lessons engaging and most importantly, to teach according to the student’s learning needs. Being compassionate and realizing that students are struggling with their academics is what keeps private tutors going because they are determined to help out their students and to push them to get good grades despite the challenges.

INSECURITY

Having been a student, it’s so normal for children to feel the need to compare themselves with their peers. Dwelling in self-pity is very addictive, it is a visceral space to be in and hence understanding this, private tutors realize the significance of their job (which is to teach students to work on self-improvement). Children are immature and do not comprehend the fact that everyone’s passions and desires are different and that everyone functions uniquely. There is no basis and criteria for us to compare and evaluate ourselves against our peers and yet we still do it as adults sometimes and children do it all the time.
